As an Upper Gwynedd  resident, you’ve wanted to join the conversation and help make it a better community.

 

As we talk with our neighbors we have learned of the concerns of:

  • working families about their children
  • elderly on a fixed income
  • young professionals looking to be involved with their community.

 

So we invite you to share your thoughts and ideas with us. You may:-


We, the Democratic Committee for the Township, believe there is much more the Township can do to make our community even more livable. 

 

We also believe there is a need for the Township to work collaboratively with other municipalities to provide joint services that reduce our tax burden.

BIOGRAPHY

  • Married to the late Dr. Jeffrey Damsker for 35 years
  • Her three sons – Jason, Keith and David – are all physicians: her daughter, Rebecca is a teacher
  • Ruth is the proud grandmother of 6 young grandchildren
  • Ruth graduated from Temple University with a B.S.W.M

EXPERTISE

  • Montgomery County Commissioner 2000-200
  • Cheltenham Finance Officer and Township Controller, 1990-2001
  • Volunteered in Europe with the U.S. Army Community Social Services Program
  • Worked as a social services professional at Pennsylvania Hospital
  • Held leadership roles in American Cancer Society; Rotary International, Parent-Teacher organizations and Board of Directors-Reserve at Gwynedd Condo Association
  • Member of League of Women Voters, Board of Directors-Caring People  Alliance and AAUW-Lansdale Branch
